A civil engineering professional with experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects across public and private sectors, Lauren Kennedy began her career with Kiewit in Washington, D.C., before moving into project engineering at MWH Constructors in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining the Concrete Masonry Checkoff (CMC), Kennedy was a Program Manager/Civil Engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), overseeing airport development and stakeholder training.
Lauren Kennedy is the latest addition to the growing Block Design Collective (BDC), a visionary design assistance program supported by the Concrete Masonry Checkoff, where architects and engineers can access complimentary CMU design services.
Kennedy’s arrival underscores the BDC’s commitment to reintroducing concrete masonry as a resilient solution to today’s environmental challenges. In the mid-South, her leadership will help accelerate the adoption of sustainable and climate-ready construction practices.
