SUMMARY:Spitzer School of Architecture – Design + Build Competition and Curriculum
DESCRIPTION:The main objective is to facilitate recognition that common building materials (Concrete Masonry) can be reinterpreted and improved by good design: \n\nPerspective: Making something extraordinary out of the ordinary\, with objective parameters of analysis for improvement.\nScope of work: Design and development of 5-15 prototypes of concrete block green-wall systems: documentation at CD-level\, with course plans\, sections elevations\, axonometric representations of systems\, key details\, perspectival representations; sketch models; full scale prototype (finished at event).\n\nThis is a design build hands on education competition for one full semester. Two design team consisting of 4th & 5th year architectural students will compete. A winning team will be announced\, and awards will be handed out at a luncheon Banquet. \nLocation: Spitzer School of Architecture (CCNY) 141 Convent Ave.\, New York NY 10031
